MyAthlete Real-Time GPS Athlete Trackin System

Athletes competing at Ironman Wisconsin on September 7th had high praise for the MyAthlete real-time live tracking system, with many saying they would continue to use the system for training and safety purposes. Triathletes wore the small tracking device during their 140.6 mile journey, which allowed friends and family to track their progress in real-time via the web.

Problem is you can't use your own shoes to run with, and it is not like bowling where you can use someone shoes for a few games, running a marathon weighing down your shoe will probably not be the best idea.
Better to ware a small pager like GPS tracking device and it may work better and cost less.

Please post some new GPS PND reviews Fltech! What about comparing the map updates available from Magellan or something? Anything...

The photo is misleading - the GPS module is actually worn on a belt, not in the shoe. So you can wear whatever shoes you want.

Flech,

I beta tested this tracking device that was in the ORANGE shoe, tracking module was in the shoe and the antenna was on the heal.

If this is just a tracking device in a Pelican case, than is no different than any other device is it not?

Also, How well will it work for PD or SWAT when the unit is used in a building? Not very well I can tell you.

Anyway, hope you will review some new products, try the Magellan Maestro 4350 and 4370, tons of new features and very different from the old Magellan we once knew.

I have been using and testing the product for about a year. I wore at the last Boston Marathon. Family just loved being able to watch me race live. I use it daily in my Triathlon training, and the wife loves know exactly where I am so she can adjust her schedule. This is the only product during my 25 years of marriage that she has told me I must own, and use.
