If the rumors are true, Apple is planning to release iTunes 8, iPhone firmware 2.1, a new iPod touch, and a completely redesigned iPod nano featuring a larger screen and built-in GPS -- all within the next 2-3 weeks!
The leaked photo of the iPod nano seems to substantiate the rumored 4G iPod nano. The new above photo does indeed look like it has a larger screen, taller case, and a sleek curved face. What use would an iPod nano have for GPS? Your guess is as good as any, but the possibilities are endless. Post your speculations now...
I would think Apple would make the GPS turn by turn feature available first on the new 3G, but maybe there is an issue with signal interference. Sooner or later the GPS enable Cell phone will over take the PND market when the processing speed and memory along with battery life limitations improves. For now the only differentiate is the content on the PND more than the normal turn by turn features.
I don't think this will be a winner combination for ipod fans. Better for iphones than for ipods.
