if i had a kid i would like to implant a micro chip gps in the kid, and when they reached 18 i would tell them. haha

I have been furtunat to test this system and love it. My child wanted to walk home from school by herself for the first time we said sure. After school like any parent would I stood patiently wating for her on the front porch. It usually takes about 5 min. to get home from school. 15min. later I am running twoards the school and she is no where to be found. Then I remembered she's got the GPS system. I called the unit and it gave me her location. Come to find out, she had decided to go the long way arround the neighborhood with her friends. I am glad we had the unit because even in such a small case I was able to know where she was and have peace of mind. I highly recomended!

Great review and great product. When my second daughter was born and brought home from the hospital, we lost track of our 1st daughter. She was missing for 3 hours and we were all freaking out with panic.

The neighbors eventually called us and told us that they came home from grocery shopping and found our daughter asleep on the floor of their basement with one of their son's toys in her hand!! She had snuck into their home while they were away (the door was left unlocked) and had gone downstairs to play. She fell asleep.

We were so panicked...I will never forget the stress of that ordeal. All this could have been prevented had we had an amber alert gps unit or something like it on our daughter's person. What a fantastic idea. Bravo and thanks for the review.

I was nervous to have my 21 year old daughter drive 1200 miles to Canada. I put the aagps system on her. We told her to stay on i15 the whole way. well she took a wrong turn somewhere and called to say I'm lost help.. we looked on our phone and the map came up of where she was and found that she was on the i80 and was lost, my husband walked her through getting back on the right road and she made it there safe and sound.. but while in Canada she found out she was type 1 diabetic, (scary)I was worried about her even more now with the health issue, she was still regulating her blood levels and I was so relieved that she had the amber alert with her because there is a sos button on it so if she was to get in trouble with her health she could push that, and I could call 911 and tell them exactly where she was.. there are so many dead spots with the cell phone along that road that you just can't trust a cell phone to get to an emergency person..it was not needed, but gave me peace of mind.. I LOVE MY AMBER ALERT GPS SYSTEM i have small children, but can be used for all ages of kids. I like that!!! I will tell everyone I know about this fabulous device.. sincerely Mona Weidner

My wife and I tested the aapgs on a trip to Disneyland. It was precise in showing our locations all the time. Others that tracked us knew where we were all the time.

Hey Paul - thanks for the comments. Yes, as soon as we received such a positive review, we alerted our customers. It's great that they chose to comment. We are a brand new company and most of our users are in the western part of the US. This is a great way to get the word out about such a wonderful life-saving product! I have 4 children and have been using this product since Nov. 2007. It's a great way to make sure that my kids are getting to and from school safely! It's also great that I can see how fast my teenagers are driving. Maybe when you become a parent - you'll realize the significance of a product like this!

i dont doubt this is a great product, as much as i dont doubt planted fake reviews. its obvious for anyone to see those long reviews all of a sudden in the same minute. give me a break, just be honest

We have two elementary school age boys that I drive to school as I leave for work M-F. My husband is home from his work soon after our boys walk home together. I work in Salt Lake City, UT and the elementary is in South Jordan. We need to have the security of knowing our boys are at the school and/or on their way home and have arrived home safely. The text message received back to the calling phone is within seconds. If you have a SmartPhone you can instantly click on the //http:… address and view a map location of the one you’re checking on. We want the AAGPS to work for us at our second home in Koosharem, UT also. Our boys are quite active with hunting, ATV riding and being our boys. The AmberAlertGPS gives parents a peace of mind knowing they can check on and locate their child with a phone call to the device that makes no noise or interruption at the device. They don’t even know you’re checking on them. AAGPS is “good parenting” and more parents will want to consider this kind of “active parenting” to insure the safety of their children. Parenting is a HUGE responsibility and we have to do our active part to make sure our children and others we care about and love are safe.

We lost our natural “parental location radar” on our youngest son at one of the Outdoor Sports shows when he was 3 yrs. old. He somehow wondered over a few isles, of the many booths of vendors. He moved very quickly in the crowds and out of our sight in seconds. Sheer panic set in as we frantically looked everywhere for him. In those few minutes of panic, YOU are your best and only help! Everything was in slow motion and we couldn’t find a guard or event attendant anywhere. We did locate him when we noticed two ladies trying to help him find us. They were his guardian Angels for that day.

If we had the AAGPS at the time, we would have called the device located on our littleman, then locate him quickly with a smidgen less of hysteria. The AAGPS isn’t a sitter to not watch your children, but a locator should that be needed.

The AAGPS has many, many uses; such as, handicapped individuals, elderly, hospital patients, prisoners (on work release programs), detention kids that need to be supervised, pets, hikers, boaters, soldiers at war, items of importance (i.e. cars/trucks, cameras, electronics, motorcycles, motorhomes, etc.).

Other areas for the AAGPS are city and neighborhood parks, amusement parks, concerts, malls, shopping, family gatherings (in Utah, some gatherings are quite large), parades and all events that have crowds of people. The AAGPS is not a device to replace your natural “parental location radar” for others or items, although it’s an added safeguard for their health and safety and a parent or caregivers peace of mind.

This system looks fine; I am worried though about their customer service division. If I am going to have a monthly service plan with them, they better have a robust customer service division.
I recently tested their customer service division (contact us tab on their website). When you try the CONTACT US tab you reach a web based messaging system and not a telephone number. Anyway, I submitted 3 questions on three different dates, weeks went by and I never got a response back, I didn’t submit a wrong email address.
THIS IS A BIG DRAWBACK, I was really going to purchase 2 devices, but now I am reconsidering

I recently bought and subscribed to Amber Alert GPS product. I have used the customer service department and they always promptly answers questions and help me with programming issues(mostly on my part) Julia, Mona and others are prompt in helping me work it out. I understand they have a new unit coming out in Jan 09, I hope to get one and use it. My son is 5, goes to a rural school, and this technology giver me piece of mind when he is in the world without me....I would buy this unit again, no doubt, and I appreciate the customer service I have been given.
