Billed as "the ultimate tool that will help you keep tabs on your children, pets and possessions", Loc8tor Plus is a wireless handheld device that can track multiple homing tags up to 600 feet away. Slap a homing tag on anything you want to keep tabs on, and the next time it goes missing, use the Loc8tor handheld to find it.
The system relies on radio frequencies (RF) instead of GPS, making it better suited to indoor use, and retails for about $169 (the Plus version includes the Loc8tor handheld, 3 homing tags, and 1 panic homing tag). I tested the Loc8tor Plus and found the system adequate for finding a lost set of keys at home, but not up to the task of tracking moving objects, such as children or pets.

Just purchased one and am not happy. I was 22 steps away from my locator tag and no signal. Basically if you're in range of the signal you can probably see the item that you're looking for. What a joke - lol.
It might be good for finding keys that are lost behind the couch, etc., but other than that it's crap.
Cheers
I agree, I just bought one recently. While testing it I was really disappointed with the 183m specification guidelines. I had no signal even when I can see my son who is no more than 20 meters away from me in a shopping center. What utter B/S. Totally unsatisifed, no wonder it did not take off.
I agree with the other 2 comments, not worth having for signaling you when something gets out of range. The finder parts not bad, but the alert part not worth a hoot.
And I emailed loc8tor twice and they never even responded.
