the nuvi 660 are $470 from amazon. $70 more than what is stated on the article not sure if you still think it's the best option at that price or not since I know nothing about them, but it might be worth revising the article for it.

Is there any way I can print any pages from this site. There are no printer-friendly links; If I print portrait, the edges are off the mark; If I print landscape, my IE window reports some error and closes.

I plan to buy a GPS system for my daughter for Christmas. It appears that your favorite is the Garmin Nuvi 660. How does the mapping compare with Magellan which uses AAA?

Hi Fletch,

I got the Garmin Nuvi 650 for $299 from Costco. Is the 660 worth the additional hundred or more bucks?

Jim, the Magellan 3140 is rumored to be selling for below $200 at Costco stores.

Let me know when Mr. T's lawyers start asking for some licensing dollars. Good coverage for Black Friday, did you ever work in retail? :)

I've been trying to decide between the Nuvi 350 and Nuvi 650 as I don't need the Bluetooth, FM transmitter, traffic info on the 360/660. With Costco's 650 price below most other's price for the 350, looks hard to pass up. Am I missing something here?

Hey Fletch,

I bought the Mio c220 in July and had no problems with it. It reroutes really fast, and reception is great... and it's really affordable. The only thing that could be better is a better routing software. The new c230 comes with text to speech. You shouldn't discourage potential buyers by saying "not recommended"...

Greetings,

I just got the Nuvi 650 from Costco for $299. They were sold out but have gotten more in stock. That price is about $100 less than any other place I could find. Seems like a good value especially when this article says the Nubvi 350 is a good deal at $299. Same price but 4.3" wide screen.

I didn't need Bluetooth since my car has that already and I have an iPod so I don't need the FM transmitter and while traffic reports sounds interesting I am not willing to pay a monthly fee for knowing that Seattle traffic is always bad :)

Are any of the "automobile" models capable of using Back Roads and Topo maps that the "hand held" models can do??
