For some of us out there, mounting your TomTom device to your windshield is not an option. That’s why ProClip USA signed a global agreement with TomTom, Inc. to provide custom-made, in-vehicle device mounting solutions that integrate your TomTom with the car's interior.

Thats pretty cool, I've been hoping for a while that TomTom would come out with some alternative mounts. I can still use the windshield mount in my car but its a little bit of a stretch and would like something a little closer. Also, some states actually have laws against window mounts so this is just a good idea in general. Also, timing is great for this with holiday sales too - the new 720s and the new edition ONEs are probably about to start selling really well right now.
I don't believe TomTom did themselves any favors by signing on with proclip. If anyone has attempted to use this kind of mount you know right away your are in for a cobbled mess that is not very secure. Plastic and more plastic jammed into your dash. I can't imagine my $500 TomTom hanging on such a mount.
There are options - I have recently discovered an incredible mount called the G3 from Pro-Fit in Minnesota. This is so cool and much cleaner, stronger and more versatile than anything proclip has. Amazing how similar the names - who is copying who?
My money is on the Pro-fit products, hands down. I only hope TomTom sees the light and resigns with Pro-fit.
Mike what store or online address did you buy your G3 gps mount and approximate price? pls respond ty/Mamie
pro-fit doesn't even make a mount for my 2008 suv. i don't think they can compete if they can't update their products.
