Garmin announced Garmin Mobile XT, a new mapping solution for Smartphone’s with built in GPS that transforms compatible smartphones into turn-by-turn navigation devices. Garmin Mobile XT is a preloaded Micro-SD card with built in maps, Points of Interest (POIs), and access to Garmin's Online services with no monthly fees.

Unlike other cell-phone based GPS software, because Garmin's maps are stored on the SD memory card, GPS navigation continues to work even in areas without cell-phone coverage.

Maybe before you ask what phones it will work on, you should just go to the Garmin site? http://www8.garmin.com/mobile/mobilext/

I asked this on their site but figured I could get a faster response here. I want this to geotag my photos, does it keep my routes or tracks?

On a separate but related note, is that a feature that all car models, like the nuvi 200, has built in?

Unfortunately, they don't have this product for Blackberry. You still have to buy a subscription. This sucks! Does anyone know of simular product for Blackberry? Once I was outside of Sprint's internet coverage and my phone could not download the maps, so no navigation!
