I currently have TomTom Home version 1.5. A friend allready has the new version Tom Tom 2. I have been onyour official site and canot download the new version. Could you send me the link or tell me how i can get it. Mant Thanks

'Operate my device' doesn't seem to work. It says it needs to download a file but the file is 'currently unavailable'. Have reported to TomTom, waiting on response.

Completely useless for me.

I've bought 720 2 days ago - I wish I hadn't sold my reliable ViaMichelin X950-T.

So far the device is completely useless for me and the reason is pretty simple:

1. Attached my new device to the PC

3. Downloaded the latest HOME 2.0 software

3. It by default runs latest updates - I have got them all.

4. Created backup with 2.0

Device is completely dead - on start it shows yellow screen with red cross.

In the shop changed the device for new one - the same scenario repeated again ?!

TomTom adviced me not to download their latest application next time (the device is currently in the shop for restoring original software).

Is it not supposed this to be the best TomTom device in the market - in the sense that you expect at least to work ?!!!!!?

Will sell it on ebay and NEVER,EVER WILL BUY TOMOTOM AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My next device will be 980 from ViaMichelin.

We experienced the same problem:

1. we installed an update of the TomTom Home software.
2. In the TomTom Home 2 we chose 'update my device' > the update seemed to worked fine
3. trying out the "operate my device" function (it copied a file to the tomtom device) and connected to it.
4. then after disconnecting the device, it only showed the red cross.

Solution:
1. we uninstalled the TomTom home 2.0 software from our PC
2. we reinstalled the TomTom Home software delivered on the cdrom, which came with the TomTom.
3. we then let TomTom Home 1.6 connect and update our TomTom and ...

it's alive and kicking

Hopefully, a patch for TomTom Home 2 will be released soon.

2.0 Screwed up my 720 & their upper level support said they know it is bad. They do not have a fix yet.

I bought GO520. Brilliant system , except the hands free everyone I call says they can hear buzzing. contacted TT support and there advice was "Make sure you have the latest updates by connecting it to your pc. Its on my pc every morning getting the updates.

I have a promotional code and I already try download the atualizations , but,I do not got those.
my question is, I realy can have those, or you guys play games.I had 30 days now is almost over and I still have problem to use it.
I need the answer or I have to bring back to the store and try another kind of GPS.
