Alright, look - before I get a bunch of emails on this, I don't support cheating companies out of the money they need to develop quality products. But if you recently bought a Garmin StreetPilot c510 or c530 and aren't quite ready to upgrade to a model with text-to-speech just yet, then today is your lucky day. This hack will upgrade your c510/c530 to include the same text-to-speech functionality found on the more expensive Garmin c550 / c580.

But, then you follow up with where to go to do just that. If you really believed your statement you would have said something like this...
"I don't support cheating companies out of the money they need to develop quality products, so I'm not going to post ANY information about the Garmin hack."

if the company (Garmin) cared aboutyou as much as you seem to care about them, they would not charge you hundreds more to upgrade for such a simple thing.

Garmin can afford it! Its not the consumer's fault when daft companies leave the door wide open allowing the clever people among us to get a free upgrade.

The hack works brilliantly by the way, just make sure you don't update the firmware beyong version 5.40 - it blocks the hack.
