This week at CES I stopped by Magellan’s booth and got to see the latest offerings from the legendary house of Magellan. The biggest announcement at Magellan was the release of the CrossoverGPS. A few weeks ago I noticed Magellan had removed all references to the RoadMate 2200T from their website. It turns out they have re-branded the unit the CrossoverGPS, and are positioning the unit as an “all-in-one” device. The company also announced the TrafficKit for the RoadMate 2200T and CrossoverGPS, a CrossoverGPS upgrade option for existing RoadMate 2200T owners, and more.

I like how the power connection seems to be coming in through the dock or is that only if you purchase the traffic-receiver dock?

I'll believe it when I see it. They have been promising the crossover upgrade for the 2200T for almost 2 years now. It's nothing but empty promises. Even if it does appear, now they want to charge $50 bucks for it? Typical consumer rip off!

Excellent device! I use it regularly and am always discovering new features. Going to buy the TrafficKit next. An excellent product.
