Saw this neat sun glare hood for GPS' and other lcd devices on Gear Live today. When I first saw this I laughed at the fool who would waste $20 on such frivolity, but then thought long and hard about how many times I've had to use my hand as a makeshift hood to see my GPS when driving in bright sunlight. After using a Glare Stamper I found another GPS sun blocker that I liked even better. This one is called GPSSUPERVISOR and it fits neatly around the edges of the touchscreen and is held securely by high tech elastic bands on both sides of the device. The Glare Stamper covered most of the top and sides of my GPS with sticky backed Velcro and I was concerned that it could leave a gummy residue when the sun got it really warm. Unlike the Glare Stamper, the GPSSUPERVISION does not cover up my gps memory port, the power cable or any of the other buttons on my gps. The GPSSUPERVISOR does not interfere with my Bluetooth and it does not muffle the GPS speaker either. I couldn't find the manufacturer's website, but they were quick to email me photos. Also, they had a $7.95 price when I bought mine on Ebay. I didn't have their package when I wrote this message, but I found their email address: gpssupervisor@gmail.com
glarestomper is horrible! I ordered from their ebay seller glarestomper and the item never arrived. I had to file a complaint with paypal to get my money back.
A few weeks later I tried again. My money was refunded a week later. I finally emailed them and asked what was wrong. They said they refuse to ship to me! How can you refuse to ship on ebay? I don't know but they did. I filed complaints with ebay for non-performing seller, we'll see what happens.
Check E Bay for "GPSSUPERVISOR".....half the price, conssiderably better design.
