TrackingTheWorld's newest portable real-time GPS tracking device is the WorldTracker Enduro Pro. An update to one of last year's best trackers, the Enduro, Enduro Pro offers improved GPS sensitivity, and up to 60 day battery life.
Throughout our testing, Enduro Pro's performance was outstanding. The device provided reliable real-time tracking, even in challenging environments, and in areas of marginal cellular coverage.

The WorldTracker Enduro Pro ships in a plain white box with a magnetic flip-top lid.

Figure 2: Included In the Box
Included in the box are the Enduro Pro, AC charger, SIM card (if you opt to buy the device complete with a SIM card. You can also use your own SIM card), USB data cable, setup guide.

Along the left side of the device is a panic button, and a protective rubber flap that conceals the SIM card, required for cellular data connectivity (so the device can send back it's location data).

You can purchase the Enduro Pro with a SIM card from TrackingTheWorld, or you can provide your own data-enabled SIM card. The device is equipped with a Quad-Band chip (850/900/1800/1900MHz) and is also GSM 2 compliant.

Enduro Pro is roughly the size of a matchbox car.

Figure 10: Enduro Pro
It's not the absolute smallest GPS tracking device we've ever seen, but Enduro Pro does offer the best battery life of any device in its class, and is still small enough to be carried around.

Figure 11: Enduro Pro
Enduro Pro is small enough to be concealed in a child's coat pocket, backpack, or stuffed animal.

Figure 12: Charging the Enduro Pro
Open the side flap and connect the included AC charger to begin charging the Enduro Pro's internal battery.
Once fully charged, the Enduro Pro can last up to 60 days on a single charge (that estimate is based on updates every 2 hours, and little motion. When set to update more frequently, such as every 2 minutes, battery life drops to a still-impressive 2 weeks on average).

Figure 13: Location Reports
Reports are accessed via TrackingTheWorld.com. Maps can be viewed as Road view, Aerial view, or Hybrid (Road & Aerial). The map can be zoomed in or out, and panned by dragging the mouse around or using the pan/zoom control in the upper-left corner of the screen.
Tabs along the right side of the map screen allow you to view historical location data for previous days/months, as well as access driving reports, configure GeoFence alerts, and set how frequently Enduro Pro should send location updates (less frequent updates = longer battery life).
The breadcrumbing feature allows you to see where the device has been throughout a given day, as well as the direction of travel and speed the device was traveling.

Figure 14: Waypoint Detail
Clicking on a waypoint displays the detail box, shown above. The date, time, speed, and exact street address are displayed.

Figure 15: Speed Information
Speed information can be useful in determining whether a person is traveling on foot or in a car, or whether a driver is exceeding the speed limit.

Figure 16: Location Updates
You can adjust how frequently the Enduro Pro sends location updates any time by clicking the "Poll" button on the Reports tab. Increasing the frequency of updates provides more real-time location updates, but uses additional battery life as well as data usage on your SIM card.
Note that when the motion sensor is enabled (default), the device will only send location updates when it is moving, an effective battery saving measure.

Figure 17: Viewing Monthly Driving Reports
Enduro Pro keeps track of speed information as well as location. That means the device knows if you're moving in vehicle, or walking around on foot. Time spent in a vehicle can be viewed as a monthly report that shows distance, drive time, idle time, starting and ending addresses.
Total mileage reports are also available by year, month, week, or day.

Daily driving reports offer more granularity than the monthly report, showing the entire day's activity, including time spent parked, mileage driven, and addresses visited.

Tracking The World's WorldTracker Enduro Pro Strikes the right balance between battery life, device size, and performance. With a maximum theoretical battery life of 60 days, Enduro Pro is one of the most efficient trackers I've ever tested. Configured to send updates every two minutes, and placed in a car that drives about an hour each day, Enduro Pro lasted about 2 weeks between charges. Set to 15 minute updates, and placed in a child's coat pocket, I was routinely able to get about 3 weeks per charge.
About the size of a matchbox car, Enduro Pro is slightly larger than the previous mode, the WorldTracker Enduro. However, unlike the smaller Enduro, the Enduro Pro has a more sensitive GPS receiver that determines its position more quickly, and also has about twice the battery life of the original Enduro. Enduro Pro is also water resistent, and can operate in extreme temperatures.
Locating the Enduro Pro can be performed via a web portal on any browser enabled device, such as a computer or smartphone. There's also a cell phone portal that lets you track the device using a cell phone or device that does not have a full web browser, though this option costs an additional $60 per year.
The web portal is easy to use. You can pan and zoom, view historical location data complete with breadcrumbing, download driving reports, see speed information, set GeoFences, configure location update frequency of the device, and enable or disable the internal motion sensor.
I tested the Enduro Pro for several weeks, both in major urban areas as well remote rural areas with marginal cellular coverage. Enduro Pro performed very well. Tracking was reliable and accurate, and battery life was excellent. The $49.95 monthly service fee for unlimited tracking may deter more casual users, but those looking for a professional grade real-time GPS tracking device with outstanding battery life will find the Enduro Pro one of the best, if not thee best, option on the market today.
