The 750Li Sedan sports a 4.4L V8 400HP engine.

BMW's Adaptive light control for Automatic headlight on/off can also automatically dim the headlamps when an oncoming vehicle is approaching, then automatically switch back to the high beams when the road is clear. I used the feature extensively, and it works fantastically.

The interior feels refined an luxurious. The cabin's vault-like silence when driving is a joy, and the controls are well positioned.

At first glance, the instrumentation cluster can appear daunting. There are lots of button and dials, and, to the unitiated it takes a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the considerable array of controls available at your fingertips.

The steering column-mounted shifter or previous 7-Series models has been moved back down to the transmission tunnel, providing much improved ergonomic and a more intuitive feel.

All information, entertainment and comfort features are controlled via the iDrive system.

The new system features a larger, 10.25-inch, high-resolution display, and four direct-entry buttons for accessing radio, CD, telephone, and navigational features.

Also, an integrated 12 GB Hard Disk Drive lets you store music from CDs, MP3 players, or USB sticks.

The system also includes Bluetooth® hands-free calling capabilities with speech recognition.
