Garmin's 2010 Map Update Causing Headaches For Some

An error occured while communicating with the Garmin server

Garmin has released 2010 North American and European maps, available as an electronic download or DVD purchase via Garmin's nuMaps Lifetime ($119 for North America, $139 for Europe) or nuMaps Onetime programs ($69 for North America, $129 for Europe).

I'm hearing reports that after downloading the almost 2GB map update file, some users are unable to complete the install, and are seeing the following error: "An error occurred while communicating with the Garmin server."
