Figure 169: Adjusting the Map's Color Scheme
Choose one of the four available map color schemes, or tap "Advanced" to create your own custom color scheme.

The screen allows you to specify the day and night brightness level, and specify whether the GO 930T should automatically switch between day and night colors based on ambient light conditions.

The following settings can be configured via the fourth Preferences page:

Figure 172: Status Bar Position
This setting lets you choose how you prefer to see the status bar displayed on the map: horizontally (at the bottom of the screen), or Vertically (at the right-hand side of the screen).

Figure 173: Show On The Status Bar
Some people, myself included, find the amount of information displayed by default on the status bar cluttered and difficult to read from the driver's seat. Thankfully, TomTom's software allows you to customize how much or little information you prefer to see on the status bar.

Figure 174: Show on The Status Bar, Page 2
Note that "Show lane guidance" refers to the smaller, non-3D lane guidance graphic that is displayed on the status bar, and does not refer to the 3D Advanced Lane Guidance view.
"Show leeway to arrival time" displays how early/late you will arrive at your destination (if you provided a desired arrival time).

Figure 175: Automatic Zooming
Automatic Zooming, enabled by default, causes the map to automatically zoom in to a closer street-level view when approaching turn maneuvers. Once a turn is complete, the map automatically zooms back out.

Figure 176: Show in the Quick Menu
Up to six shortcuts can be added to the "Quick menu".

TomTom is one of the GPS manufacturers that allows you to specify whether you prefer to see the house number or street name first when entering a destination address or viewing places on the map.
