Garmin Approach G5 is A Golfer's Dream Come True

I've always thought golfing GPS devices are more gimmick than anything else. But after seeing a demo of Garmin's new Approach G5 Golfing GPS at CES, I think any Golfer is going to love it. Preloaded with almost 5000 golf courses, the device will include free lifetime course updates. Check out the video for a quick walk-through.

Garmin Zumo 660 Demo'd At CES

Garmin's newly announced Zumo 660 is essentially a rugged, motorcycle friendly nuvi. The device features both motorcycle and scooter routing options, as well as an interface that is streamlined for use while wearing gloves. Watch the video for a quick demo.

Bosch Showcases New Dual-Display Technology at CES

Bosch's new dual-display technology will be used in Mercedes' 2010 S-Class vehicles. The display leverages a "filtering mask" that allows the display to show one thing to the driver, and something completely different to the passenger -- on the same surface. I saw it live at CES, and it looks awesome.

Bosch Demos Groundbreaking Navigation Concept at CES

Bosch showed a pretty amazing concept dashboard at CES this year, complete with integrated night vision, amazing 3D fly-throughs, and the slickest looking GPS map I've ever seen. Of course, this is just a concept for now, but it could theoretically make its way into a dashboard near you in the not too distant future.

Economy be Damned! CES 2009 Starts Tomorrow, and I'll Be There

CES 2009

It's that exciting time of year again: the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) starts tomorrow, and GPSmagazine will be there, liveblogging the event and covering all the latest GPS product announcements. I already have it on good authority that we can expect some pretty cool new products to debut at CES tomorrow. Expect to see videos and mini-reviews on all the latest Garmin, Magellan, TomTom, and Navigon products, and a whole lot more.

Starts at 9am PST tomorrow, January 8th.
