TomTom, Magellan Top Black Friday Sales

bf_tops.jpg

According to PriceGrabber.com, the number one selling GPS unit for Black Friday was the TomTom ONE 3rd Edition. It ranked in number three overall just below the Nintendo Wii (Who didn’t see that coming) and the Microsoft Zune 30GB.

The Magellan Maestro 3100 took number eight in the top sellers.

GPS devices were number three in the top product category following just behind Plasma and LCD TVs and digital cameras. This is a step forward as last year they were ranked number four … behind women’s handbags (Ouch).

This is just a bit of proof that low prices, not features, are grabbing the attention of most GPS consumers.
