No, that image isn’t real. However, according to DigiTimes, Garmin International, TomTom International BV and Mitac International are all considering the notion of adding mobile TV features into to their future navigation devices.
This isn’t exactly a new feature for GPS: various models available in South Korea and Europe already offer integrated mobile TV. Mobile TV integration has been slow in the U.S., as most companies are more than a little gun-shy of offering drivers what could amount to a lawsuit waiting to happen. Personally, I'd love to see this make its way into my GPS -- even if the feature was restricted to non-moving vehicles. Plus, this could be another small step toward sweeping timid U.S. GPS buyers off their feet.
