TomTom Announces ONE XL•S

Image goes here.

TomTom announced the ONE XL S last week. The Dutch firm's latest GPS is basically a ONE XL with text-to-speech (so it announces actual street names). For those of you with a short memory, the ONE XL was kind of a stinker, so it's unlikely that a ONE XL with TTS is going to be the GPS you've been waiting for. Still, if you're a TomTom fanboy, hit the jump to see all the gory specs.

  • Large 4.3" touchscreen
  • 266 MHz CPU, 32MB RAM
  • Map Coverage: USA & Canada
  • 1GB Storage
  • SiRF StarIII Receiver
  • Text-to-Speech: Spoken street names and traffic updates announced aloud
  • TomTom Map Share: Instantly modify street names, street direction and POIs on your own map. Easily share and download other users' verified changes
  • Complete guidance to your destination: arrival time, trip time estimation, and choice of routes such as fastest, shortest, non-toll roads and more
  • "Help me!" menu: Easy access to local emergency providers such as police, hospitals, fire stations
  • Easily access traffic info: Optional RDS -TMC Traffic Receiver1 accessory keeps you up-to-date on road congestion to minimize potential delays.
  • QuickGPSfix: Finds your location faster than ever before

Oh, and look! They jacked the price up another $200 too! Should be available for $399.99 at the end of the month.
