How do you get publicity in the already crowded GPS market? Start sticking GPS receivers in unexpected places, of course! Deluo has come out with a mouse that has a built-in GPS receiver. Brilliant idea you say? Well, we're not so sure...
Despite being billed as "state of the art", the Mouse-GPS uses a cheaper 16-channel receiver instead of the industry standard 20-channel SiRF chipset. It has retractable USB cable and optical scrolling, which is nice. Still, I can't help wondering about the basic design: is it really a good idea to put a GPS receiver where the antenna will be covered by your hand when using the mouse?
Looks like this mouse sells for $99 standalone, or $130 with Microsoft's Street and Trips program. More info available on Deluo's product page.
