Study Finds People Want a GPS More Than an iPhone or PS3

GPS_Holiday.jpg

According to a new survey conducted by Solutions Research Group, 3 out of 4 people want some kind of new gadget this year for the holidays. The group surveyed 1200 consumers, asking them what gifts they would most like to receive this holiday season. GPS navigation devices came in 5th on the list, beating out the i(diot)Phone and Sony PS3. Unsurprisingly Digital Cameras and High Definition Televisions topped the wish list for most consumers.

Read on to see the entire list.

The list goes like this...
  1. HDTV
  2. Windows notebook
  3. Digital camera
  4. Windows desktop computer
  5. GPS navigation
  6. Cell phone
  7. Digital video camera
  8. Nintendo Wii
  9. Sony PS3
  10. HD DVD or Blu-ray player

GPS will no doubt be a big seller this holiday season. Just today, I’ve received 13 stories from GPS related news sources, and 5 of those were about new device announcements. Now, about that 1 out of 4 that didn’t want a new gadget… They just want some oil for their wagon wheels.
