Magellan has standardized its mounting hardware across the entire product line, and the Maestro 4050 is no exception. The 4050 shares the same windshield mount as the RoadMate 2xxx, CrossoverGPS, and other Maestro GPS units.
The mount consists of a large suction disc that attaches to your car's windshield (you can use the adhesive mounting disc if windshield mounts are illegal in your State), and a dual-axis joint arm that can be articulated into the desired viewing angle. The two large knobs on the mount allow you to tighten the mount once its in the correct position.

Unlike the Maestro 4040, the 4050 includes everything you need to receive real-time traffic data. So far this year we've seen traffic receivers integrated into the 12v cigarette lighter adapter, attached as a separate wire, or setup to use a Bluetooth enabled cell phone to receive traffic data. Maestro 4050 ships with the traffic data receiver built-in to the docking cradle (which attaches to the windshield mount). This is the same traffic receiver/cradle that Magellan sells as the optional TrafficKit for other Traffic-compatible Magellan GPS units (such as the Maestro 4040 and 3140).
