Magellan, the name you know and love from the Hertz NeverLost navigation system, has officially announced its latest line-up of in-car GPS navigation devices, the Maestro series. Some details on the Maestro units were leaked a few weeks ago.
Now that’s it’s official, here are the full details:
Magellan has partnered with AAA to include AAA’s TourBook travel information and member roadside assistance details on all three new Maestro units (AAA TourBook data will include AAA rated restaurants, hotels, locations for member discounts, auto repair facilities, attractions, campgrounds, and AAA branch office locations. Likewise, all three units will sport a revamped user interface, a 4.3” WQVGA touch screen anti-glare display, and SiRF’s high performance Star III GPS receiver.
Maestro 4000: $399, available April 1st, 2007
Maestro 4040: $499, available April 1st, 2007
Maestro 4050: $699, available May 2007
From what I can tell from the photos and technical spec, things are looking very good for the Magellan Maestro. As soon as I get my hands on one, you'll get the usual in-depth review.
