Figure 49: Setting the Home Address
The home address is a special saved address that has an icon on the main menu so you can quickly navigate to your saved home address. From the main menu, tap on the Home icon. If a Home address has not yet been set, the RoadMate will prompt you and ask if you want to enter the Home address.

Figure 50: Using the Trip Planner
The Magellan RoadMate 2200T supports multi-destination routing. The Trip Planner allows you to create and save multi-destination trips. From the main menu, tap the right arrow to move to page 2 of the main menu.

Figure 52: Naming the Trip
The RoadMate only allows a maximum of 11 characters when naming a given saved trip. I found this restriction somewhat limiting, forcing me to come up with abbreviations and single word trip names. In the example shown above, I was trying to spell out the title "Griswald Vacation", but was unable to spell out the entire title.

Figure 53: Adding a Destination to the Trip
Selecting Add from this list allows you to add a stop along a multi-destination trip.

Figure 54: Entering the First Destination in the Trip
Adding an address to the Trip Planner is an identical process to searching for a single address to navigate to. Once you've entered the street address (or intersection or POI), tap Save. You can repeat this process for each additional destination you want to add to the overall trip. Magellan doesn't say how many stops you can add to a given trip, but I wasn't able to hit the maximum (I entered 15 addresses). Once you have entered in all the addresses, tap Save to save the trip.

Figure 55: Activating a Multiple Destination Trip
After you have created and saved a multi-destination trip, you can use the trip by tapping on 'Guide Me' from the Trip Planner menu.
Conspicuously missing from the trip planner is the ability to optimize the route. That is, you enter in a bunch of addresses, and then the GPS is able to re-order the trip based on the most efficient order to visit each stop. This is especially useful, for example, if you are in real estate and are going to visit several properties throughout the day. With route optimization capabilities, the GPS can make sure you're not wasting valuable time driving in circles, and will tell you what order makes the most sense. The Magellan RoadMate 6000 has this feature, and I wish Magellan would have included it on the 2200T.
Another feature I'd like to see Magellan add is the ability to create multiple destination trips on the fly, without having to build them and save them beforehand. It would be useful to be able to enter an additional stop, or multiple stops along a route while driving, rather than having to build and save a trip using the Trip Planner. The Trip Planner is useful for very long journeys, but I can imagine many situations where you might want to simply route to your destination by way of another stop along the way.
